If your electric griddle and can evenly heat up and maintain its heat all over the surface then this means that you electric griddle is of good quality. This means that whenever you are cooking a row of pan cakes for example, you will not end up have some light colored pancakes and some dark, this as well is true when cooking a row of bacon or simply a row of bread that you want to toast.

You can test this by checking the temperature reading that you have set and compare it with the temperature reading on the plate. You can then test the other parts of the griddle to determine if the temperature is consistent.

The best type of griddle to buy is that which gives you enough space for cooking. Just make sure to find a drainage hole at the corner of the plate so that you can easily ditch those extra grease (from your bacon) out and away from that large surface.
